What it costs

About a 2-minute read.

For the current numbers, plan prices, per-message rates, and the live carrier-fee table, see agentmessage.io/pricing. This page explains the model so the numbers there make sense.

10DLC filing fees are included in your plan

This is the part people coming from other providers find surprising. With AgentMessage, brand and campaign filing fees are bundled into your subscription, there's no separate itemized "brand registration fee" or "per-campaign fee" line on your bill. Each plan includes a number of brand and campaign filings. If you need more than your plan includes, you move up a plan or add them per your plan's terms.

So you won't see a 10DLC fee breakdown in the dashboard, because there isn't one to show. The cost of being registered is part of what your plan buys.

Sending is priced per message segment

Messages are billed per segment. A segment is roughly 160 characters of SMS; a longer text uses two or three segments, and an MMS is billed as its own unit. Your plan tier sets your per-segment rate. See the pricing page for current rates.

Carrier fees pass through at cost

On top of the send rate, each carrier charges a small per-segment surcharge on US 10DLC traffic. These are set by the carriers, not by AgentMessage, and we pass them through at cost, with no markup. Every messaging provider pays them; they're a standard cost of using the carrier networks.

One thing worth knowing: registered traffic is much cheaper than unregistered. Unregistered messages (where they're delivered at all) carry substantially higher carrier fees. Completing your 10DLC registration is the single biggest lever you have on per-message cost, which is another reason to get it done before you start sending at volume.

The dashboard and the pricing page carry a live carrier-fee table with current registered rates for each major US carrier. Always check there for today's numbers rather than relying on a figure quoted in a guide, carrier rates change on their own schedules.

Plans are month-to-month

No minimum commitment, billed via prepaid credits, with annual billing available at a discount. You can move between plans as your volume grows.

What's separate from sending

  • Phone numbers. Your plan includes a number of phone numbers; additional numbers are priced per your plan.
  • iMessage, if you use it, is priced per provisioned line.
